Mr. King's Class

Welcome to Kindergarten at Willow Creek. I have been teaching for 8 years, 6 of those in kindergarten. I am excited to start this new school year and help your child develop a love of learning. My favorite part of kindergarten is watching children master the letter names and sounds and begin to read. The excitement and pride they feel in those moments is beyond compare. This is going to be an amazing year with lots of learning in Language Arts, Math and Social Emotional Development. For many of your kids this will be their first experience learning in a structured environment. This year will be full of big emotions and we will work together to understand them and learn how do deal with them more effectively. My goal is to use all my skills and strategies to help your child excel and grow while having as much fun as possible.  

 

I have 2 boys, Kobe and Ethan. Kobe is 23 and Ethan is 22. We enjoy the outdoors and when we have time, we hike, walk or bike along the greenbelt, swim, and especially paddle board. We love exploring Idaho and all this state has to offer.. 

 

I cannot tell you that this year will not have some speed bumps and unexpected curves but I can promise you that I will do my best to help you and your child navigate them so that we can have the best year possible.
